Detroit Future City’s Center for Equity, Engagement, and Research (The Center) produces relevant and accessible research focused on advancing economic equity and an improved quality of life for all Detroiters. We pursue a vision wherein all Detroiters are meeting their unique needs, prospering, and fully and fairly participating in all aspects of economic life within a thriving city and region.
The Center produces relevant reports and policy briefs on a range of subjects and will conduct commissioned research that supports our vision of economic equity. Our research is informed by engagement with a broad range of community stakeholders and developed through collaboration with national and local experts. Our goal is to help those stakeholders use substantiated data to inform actions and decision-making.
Are you invested in economic equity in Detroit or interested in learning more? If so, we invite you to join our stakeholder group! The stakeholder group is a diverse group of individuals and organizations from Detroit and the region who have lived experience, skills, and expertise to contribute towards advancing economic equity in Detroit. The Center holds events throughout the year to engage this group and stakeholders receive periodic updates and announcements about upcoming Center events and report releases. Most importantly, the Stakeholder Group plays an important role in informing the work of the Center and each other as we collectively work towards achieving a more economically equitable Detroit.
DFC is committed to strengthening engagement activities that foster collective efforts across local regions to advance our mission to advance economic equity and the quality of life for all Detroiters.
